A Pet for Pete

ebook

In A Pet for Pete, a young boy and his friend go throughout their neighborhood to decide which animal would be best for Pete to give his mom as a gift. Unfortunately, it seems that every animal that Pete and Sam consider has some sort of drawback that won't let him take them home. The cat for example, is adorable, but his mom is allergic to cats, and the horse, while awesome, simply is far too big to comfortably fit into the house. And absolutely everyone loves dolphins, but it requires simply far too much water to keep in the house. Pre-readers will enjoy listening to the adventure. Young readers eight and under will love this book for, not only the brilliant pictures contained within, but for the format of the book, which makes it a relatively easy read for any children that would prefer to read independently. It's a fun read that, aside from entertaining children with its pictures and story, will help them discover several new animals (although hopefully, they won't be interested in getting most of them as a pet). They may even catch the humor in Pete looking for a pet for his mom, but really looking for a pet that he would like.
